INTERNATIONAL WEEK 9th-13th March

I-integrating newcomers:-) I was really surprised how quickly the new students became integrated into our Erasmus group; I had the feeling that I knew them longer than only a week + inviting new people to our flat in the afternoon, where we played several games, first for getting know each other more and then our favourite funny Tic-Tac game:-)

N-nice new people from various countries (Norway, Belgium, Holland, Portuguese, Austria, Germany, Denmark and Spain) T-teaching Danish:-) On Monday we became a Danish teachers for a while, it was very strange to teach this difficult language, but funny.

E-experiences from local schools-sharing experiences of all of us + Torbjorn

R-Ribe, the oldest town in Denmark-the pictures will tell everything:

N-nice weather, we were very lucky these days

A-amazing creating of several music bands
T-too many music lessons maybe

I-intercultural competence and stereotypes

O- one necessary visit at local dentists´ centre, poor Vašek, but his 2teeth were quickly put into order:-)

N- new points of view of the life

A- afternoon running (me around Haderslev pond and Vasek+ Aleix to the harbour), then I ran home for my camera, because the weather was so beautiful that I had to make some pictures of this late afternoon and especially of my favourite objects-trees.
L-living with Cindy, a Dutch girl. It was really nice to live with Cindy for this week, we enjoyed it and I hope she the same:-)
W-walk in the town of Haderslev with our interesting History teacher

E- evening full of nice Danish hygge at the college

E-Eurovision song contest K-key week in our Erasmus stay so far, I think that all of us were very happy for this international week and also expressed it during the final presentations. On Friday we had farewell lunch where every country prepared light lunch and then it was time to say goodbye to some of our new friends, because some of them were leaving...for example our Cindy:-(In the afternoon the Portuguese couple recommended to us to see a special mill not far from the university (because everybody got a special photo from these Portuguese in front of some mill, so we were curious where this place can be and how come that we hadn’t seen it so far:-), so we decided to go and find this place. And what’s more, we also found Haderslev archaeological museum and became a little bit ashamed, that we didn’t know about that for such a long time…:-)

Sport activities-I have finally started to do stg.:-)

First two weeks I was so tired everyday after school (I am not used to have so many lessons in a row for such a long time from my uni..:-) that I was happy to come home and just relax, read or watch movies. Now I feel I got used to this this everyday regime and I started to have energy even for some sport even after schooltime..:) So first I decided to go to local school swimming pool that I have to describe a little bit-it is quite a small and very nice pool with surprisingly warm and salty water and Finnish dry sauna. It is open only twice a week, so first I guessed that the whole Hadreslev will be there this time, but nono..only few people:) And what is important for me-as I always speak about lack of sun and need of sun, this pool really helps me to imagine that I am somewhere at the seaside (because of that warm and salty water) and so hot sauna that makes me feel like sunbathing when I close my eyes:-) So no I feel a little bit better.
And what about fitness centre? I can go there whenever I want for free, 24hours a day, because some nice teacher from P.E.department arranged it!:) I only wonder that whenever I go there, nobody is inside although it is a very well-equipped fitness, so I hope that I will meet there my Erasmus friends:-)

me-the training partner:)-14th February-Saturday

From today I am Vasek's training partner for his Prague marathon. I am supposed to ride on my city bike in front of him, offer him drinks and Bounty biscuits and of course to encourage him:-) So today we went for more than 20kms, it means more than 10kms away from Haderslev. I must say that although I wasn't very happy about this at the beginning, I enjoyed it and what is more-knew the Danish countryside and lovely small villages a little bit. If you go by train, by bus or by car somewhere, you cannot experience the atmosfere of the place so much, this is much more better for future memories on Denmark..

"Excursion" to the end of the fjord=to the beginning of the sea:-) -11th February

The next day we (Anja, carlos, Vasek and me) made our own trip to the sea. We had a pretty good weather, only the terraine wasn't what we had expected, so afhter 3 hours of quite quick walking we turned and went back, because we still couldn't see the sea and acoording to some Danish woman we would have to continue with 10more kilometres!!! Ok, doesn't mind, next time we will take a boat, or canoe!:)
